Each Thursday as many as 150 students from West's three lunch shifts walk over to Grace to enjoy grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup, and brownies in a relaxed, safe, and supportive space.
This break from the school day has grown from about a dozen students at the beginning. Back then some teachers overheard students talking about what they referred to as "Cheeses for Jesus". They were curious and walked across the street to Grace one week to see for themselves. The principal has visited several times as well. This is a great connection for all involved.
